Why a Letter?
Social media has brought a lot of good into my life. I've laughed at relatable mom content, discovered new ideas, and found encouragement from women I've never met.
But I've also found myself overwhelmed by the constant stream of information. With so many voices telling me how to be a better mother, I sometimes feel like motherhood has become something to optimize rather than something to quietly live and grow through.
At the same time, many of my friends and I have been longing for a slower pace of life. One with a little more intention, presence, and connection.
That's what inspired The Motherhood Post.
Each month, I gather stories, reflections, and heartfelt encouragement from mothers who have gained wisdom through their own experiences. I curate them into a beautiful physical letter, along with art, poetry, recipes, affirmation cards, and other thoughtful surprises.
Why send it through the mail?
Because letters are slower.
They ask us to pause. To sit down for a few minutes. To put the phone away. To enjoy something tangible.
My hope is that each envelope feels like a small breath of fresh air—a reminder that you're not alone, that motherhood is both beautiful and hard, and that wisdom is often found in the stories of other women who have walked this road before us.
And besides... who doesn't love getting mail that isn't a bill?
About Me
Hi, I’m Brooklyn :)
I’m a mom to two little boys who exhaust, delight, and fulfill me (all before lunchtime most days). We spend our days meeting for playdates at the park, walking around our little town in Mississippi, and throwing rocks into just about any body of water we can find.
When I’m not in “mom mode,” I have some hobbies… I love reading self-help books, I’m learning about becoming a birth doula, and I love hosting ladies’ nights!
I often find myself daydreaming about life when my boys are older. And yet, at the very same time, I already miss the small things they do and the this little life we live.
